Oatmeal cookies
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3/4 c
- water - 2 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- stick margarine, softened - 1 item
- quick cooking oats uncooked
How to make oatmeal cookies:
In a large bowl, cream margarine and sugar together. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg, water and vanilla; beat well. Mix flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together and add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool slightly on cookie sheets before moving to wire racks to cool completely.
