English toffee bars

- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- egg yolk - 1 item
- bag semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 (6
- chopped nutmeats - 1/2 c
How to make english toffee bars:
Preheat oven to 350°. Melt margarine and add to it the brown sugar, vanilla and egg yolk. Beat until fluffy. Add the flour and blend together. Mixture will be quite thick. Spread into a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and put back in oven for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with nutmeats.
