English toffee
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1 c
- Hershey chocolate bars - 4 item
How to make english toffee:
Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans in greased 9 x 12-inch pan. Melt butter in saucepan. Add sugar and mix well.Boil for 12 minutes, stirring constantly. Add remaining 1/2 cup pecans. Pour hot mixture over pecans in pan. Place chocolate bars on top. Spread to cover when melted.
Optional: Almonds can be used in place of pecans.
