  • chicken broth - 3 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • cold water - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
  • scallion and top, finely chopped - 1 item

How to make egg drop soup:

Bring chicken broth to a boil in soup pot. Add salt; stir in mixture of cold water and cornstarch. Stir a small amount of hot broth into egg. Stir egg into hot broth. Cook until clear and slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Garnish with scallion.
