- sugar
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter - 6 tsp
- grated nutmeg - 1 item
- whole milk - 3 c
How to make egg custard pie:
Scald milk and butter in saucepan. Beat egg slightly; add sugar and vanilla. Stir into scalded milk. Bake at 475° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° until pie barely shakes in crust. Shake nutmeg over pie before baking.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pies and tarts, < 60 mins.
