  • sugar - 2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 6 Tbsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • flour
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • miniature marshmallows - 1 item
  • sticks butter - 2 item
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • eggs, slightly beaten - 4 item
  • chopped pecans if desired - 1 c
  • chocolate frosting - 1 item
  • Remove from heat and stir in sugar and eggs

How to make mississippi mud cake:

Melt butter and cocoa together. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and eggs. Mix well. Add flour, salt, chopped nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Spoon batter into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan and bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows on top of warm cake. Cover with your favorite chocolate frosting. I like to use this:Special Chocolate Icing:1 stick butter4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 box powdered sugar1 Tbsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans (if desired) Author Unknown.
