Easy yeast rolls
Ingredients/Components
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
- warm milk - 1/2 c
- milk - 1 c
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- Crisco oil - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 4 c
How to make easy yeast rolls:
Combine yeast and warm milk to soften yeast, about 5 minutes. Combine yeast mixture, 1 cup milk, sugar, oil, salt and egg in a large mixing bowl. Add 1 cup flour, stirring until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. Place dough in a well greased bowl. Turn dough to grease top. Cover and let stand in warm place for 15 minutes (85°). Punch dough down; cover and let stand another 15 minutes in a warm draft-free place. Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead 3 or 4 times. Divide dough into 24 pieces; shape into balls. Dip into melted butter and place in pans and let rise for about 15 minutes or more, in a warm place.
