sugar - 2 c
vanilla - 2 tsp
salt - 1/2 tsp
flour - 2 c
water - 1 c
soda - 1 tsp
cocoa - 4 Tbsp
sticks margarine - 2 item
buttermilk - 1/2 c
pinch of salt - 1 item
chopped nuts optional - 1 c
1/2 sticks margarine - 1 item
well beaten eggs - 2 item
Remove from stove
1/2 boxes powdered sugar - 1 item

How to make easy chocolate cake:

Put first 3 ingredients into boiler on top of stove and allow to come to a full boil (stirring all the time). Remove from stove. Sift sugar, flour and salt. Put the flour mixture and vanilla into chocolate mixture, stirring. Add eggs. Add buttermilk with soda, mixed. Beat all in mixer. Grease and flour two long pans (9 x 13 x 2-inch) and bake at 400° for 15 minutes.Topping:9 Tbsp. milk6 Tbsp. cocoa1 1/2 sticks margarine1 1/2 boxes powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla pinch of salt1 c. chopped nuts (optional) To be made in the same boiler without washing. Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil. Remove from stove; add powdered sugar, vanilla, salt and nuts. Put this on top of cake while hot.
