- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- nutmeats - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Put the margarine, water and cocoa in a saucepan; heat to boiling
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Sift the flour, sugar and salt. Put the margarine, water and cocoa in a saucepan; heat to boiling. Pour over flour mixture and mix. Beat the eggs. Add the soda, buttermilk and vanilla, then add to cocoa mixture. Pour onto greased cookie sheet; bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350°.Icing:1 stick margarine6 Tbsp. water3 Tbsp. cocoa1 box powdered sugar1/2 c. nutmeats1 tsp. vanilla Start icing about 5 minutes before cake is done.
