Ingredients/Components
- vinegar - 1 item
- dill - 1 item
- garlic - 1 item
- pickling salt - 1 item
- cucumbers - 1 item
- powdered alum - 1 item
How to make dill pickles:
Soak cucumbers 15 minutes in boiling water. Drain; pack cucumbers in jars. To each jar add 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon powdered alum and 1 tablespoon picking salt. Add dill and garlic as desired. Fill with boiling water; seal. Place in sink of hot water. Leave until water is cooled.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Appetizers, Condiments, etc..
