How to make devil dogs:

Follow all directions of box. Pour mix into greased and floured tinfoil "potato boats." Bake for time listed for cupcakes. Turn over onto cooling rack. Cut in half lengthwise. Spread with Buttercream Icing. Top with other half. Yields 26 Devil Dogs.Buttercream Icing (Yield for 1 Cake):2 Tbsp. flour1/2 c. milk4 Tbsp. butter (1/2 bar)4 Tbsp. Crisco (1/2 c.)1/2 c. granulated sugar Mix flour and milk and cook over low heat. Stir until thick and pasty. Cool about 1 hour. Mix butter and Crisco, then beat 4 minutes. Add sugar. Beat 4 minutes more, then add flour and milk mixture and vanilla. Beat 4 minutes more.
