tsp baking powder - 1 item
tsp vanilla - 2 item
Tbsp flour - 8 item
cups sugar - 2 item
tsp baking soda - 2 item
cups flour - 4-1/4 item
cup cocoa - 1 item
cup shortening - 1 item
Drop by spoonsful on ungreased cookie sheet

How to make devil dogs:

Mix all ingredients until blended. Drop by spoonsful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350 oven for 10 - 15 minutes. Makes about 30.Filling for Devil Dogs:1 cup Crisco1 cup butter2 cups sugar2 cups milk8 Tbsp flour2 tsp vanilla Cream together Crisco, butter and sugar. Cook milk and flour to make a white sauce; cool. Add white sauce to creamed mixture. Beat about 4 minutes. Add vanilla and beat 1 minute. Fills about 30 Devil Dogs.
