Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- chopped dates - 1 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- Set aside to cool
How to make date pudding:
Put dates in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Set aside to cool. Add remaining ingredients. Mix and bake at 325° for 30 to 40 minutes. When cold, break in small pieces; set aside.Sauce:1 c. brown sugar1 Tbsp. flour1/4 c. butter1 egg, beaten1/2 c. water1 tsp. vanilla Mix all and bring to a boil; cook until thick. Cool.In a glass bowl, layer pieces and sauce. Serve with whipped cream.
