- boiling water - 2 c
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- chopped pitted dates - 1 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
How to make date nut bread:
Combine first 4 ingredients. Cook, stirring constantly, 4 minutes. Cool completely. Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Add flour, alternating with date mixture.
