Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • boiling water - 1/4 c
  • egg whites - 6 item
  • cream of tartar - 1/2 tsp
  • flour, sifted - 1/2 c
  • cake flour, sifted - 3/4 c
  • egg yolks, beaten - 6 item

How to make daffodil cake:

Beat egg whites until foamy; add cream of tartar. Beat until stiff. Fold in 3/4 cup of sugar; add 1 teaspoon vanilla; add 1/2 cup flour and salt. Fold into mixture. Pour into ungreased angel cake pan. Combine egg yolks and 3/4 cup sugar and beat
