  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1/4 c
  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • baking powder - 3 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • egg whites - 4 item
  • cream - 1 c
  • lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
  • white corn syrup - 2 Tbsp
  • Add salt and slowly add sugar

How to make cream cake:

Whip cream stiff. Add salt and slowly add sugar. Sift flour and baking powder together; add alternately with water to whipped cream mixture. Add stiffly beaten egg whites and flavoring. Bake in layers at 375°. Put layers together with your favorite vanilla, coconut or lemon filling. Frost with Angel Icing.Angel Icing:2 egg whites2 c. sugar2 Tbsp. white corn syrup1/4 c. water1 tsp. vanilla pinch of salt Beat egg whites with salt until they stand in peaks. Boil sugar, water and syrup until it forms 2 threads from a spoon. Pour into egg whites, beating constantly. Beat until icing will hold its shape. Spread on cake.
