Cucumber sandwiches
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- Tabasco sauce - 1 item
- medium diced onion - 1 item
- cucumbers - 2 item
- drops green food coloring - 2 item
How to make cucumber sandwiches:
Marinate quartered cucumbers in vinegar and water mixture. Add salt and diced onion. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Drain and discard onion. Grate cucumber and drain well again (squeeze as much liquid out as possible). Add to softened cream cheese. Season to taste with mayonnaise, salt and pepper, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce and food coloring. Spread bread rounds or shapes lightly with soft butter, then cucumber spread.
