Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- packed brown sugar - 2 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour
- margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- whipped topping - 1 item
How to make crumb cake:
In mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles a coarse meal. Remove 1 cup mixture and combine with cinnamon and nuts. Set aside. To remaining mixture, add milk and baking powder. Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Sprinkle reserved crumb topping on batter. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cut into squares. Garnish with whipped topping and a pecan, if desired. Yields 12 to 16 servings.Recipe categories: Egg, Breads, Coffee cakes.
