  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • half and half - 1 c
  • soda - 1/8 tsp
  • heavy cream - 2 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • chicken broth - 1 c
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • can diced tomatoes undrained - 1 oz
  • garlic granules - 1/8 tsp
  • instant onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • ground basil leaves - 1 tsp
  • 303 can tomato sauce
  • 303 can crushed tomatoes

How to make cream of tomato soup:

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and heat thoroughly. Do not boil. Makes about 4 servings. For even better flavor, add some cheese, crumbled up bacon and sauteed onions.
