- Flour
- Milk - 1/2 c
- Vanilla - 1 tsp
- Butter - 1/2 lb
- Eggs - 2 item
- Egg Beaten - 1 item
- dry Yeast - 1 pkg
How to make cream filled coffee cake:
Filling:1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cream Cheese1 tsp. Vanilla1 c. Sugar 1. Scald milk and set aside to cool. Place flour, sugar, yeast, and butter in bowl. Blend with pastry blender. 2. Add eggs and vanilla to cooled milk. Blend milk mix into flour mix with a fork till the dough holds together. 3. Turn unto a floured board and knead till ball forms. Refrigerate two hours. 4. Cut into two pieces. Roll into rectangles. Prepare filling. 5. Combine cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar and blend. Spread each rectangle with 1/2 cream cheese filling and roll like a jelly roll. 6. Shape into crescent and place on greased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg and bake 30 minutes at 375°.Recipe categories: Breads, Coffee cakes, Yeast breads.
