Cream cheese rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 4 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- confectioners sugar
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- cream cheese, softened
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
How to make cream cheese rolls:
Filling:1 lb. cream cheese, softened3/4 c. sugar1/2 tsp. salt1 egg, beaten2 tsp. vanilla6 Tbsp. flour Glaze:2 c. confectioners sugar2 tsp. vanilla4 Tbsp. milk Filling: Cream the cream cheese and sugar. Add rest of ingredients and mix well.Dough: Heat sour cream, sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast to warm water. Add to sour cream mixture the eggs, flour and yeast. Mix well. Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 12 hours or overnight.
Glaze: Combine all ingredients and mix well.
Divide dough into 4 parts. Roll into 8 x 12-inch rectangles. Spread 1/4 filling on each rectangle. Roll up, beginning on long sides. Seal edges and fold under. Place seam side down on greased baking sheets. Split each roll at 2 to 3-inch intervals 1/2 way down. Cover and let rise about 1 hour. Spread with glaze while still warm. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
