Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 4 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 4 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
- Cool to lukewarm
- Divide dough into 4 equal parts
How to make cheese danish:
Heat sour cream over low heat; add sugar, salt and margarine. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sour cream mixture, eggs and flour; mix well. Refrigerate overnight.Filling:2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 egg, beaten2 tsp. vanilla3/4 c. sugar1/8 tsp. salt Soften cream cheese and mix well with other ingredients. Divide dough into 4 equal parts. Roll thin on floured surface. Spread cream cheese mixture over each part. Roll up jelly roll style, tucking under ends. Place on greased cookie sheet and cut slits every 2 inches on top. Allow to rise one hour. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
