Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- sour cream - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- margarine or butter - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- sliced almonds - 1/2 c
- cream cheese, softened - 8 oz
- raspberry preserves - 1/2 c
How to make cream cheese coffee cake:
Grease and flour spring-form pan. Combine flour and 3/4 cup sugar. Cut in margarine with pastry blender to coarse crumbs. Reserve 1 cup. To remaining, add baking powder, baking soda, salt, sour cream, 1 egg and almond extract; blend well. Spread over bottom and sides of pan (1/4 inch on sides).In small bowl, combine cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 egg; blend. Pour over batter. Spoon in preserves evenly. Combine reserved crumbs and sliced almonds. Sprinkle over top. Bake at 350° for 45 to 55 minutes. Cool 15 minutes.
