Cranberry-nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- beaten egg - 1 item
- grated orange peel - 1 tsp
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- shortening or oleo - 1/4 c
- cranberries, chopped - 1 c
How to make cranberry-nut bread:
Mix all dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Combine egg, juice and peel. Add to dry ingredients. Mix enough just to moisten. Fold in berries and nuts. Bake at 350° for 1 hour in a 9 x 5 x 3-inch greased and floured pan.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Nuts.
