Cranberry nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- grated orange peel - 1 tsp
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- fresh or frozen cranberries, chopped - 1 c
How to make cranberry nut bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease 1 bread pan. Combine first 5 ingredients; use pastry blender to cut in shortening. Stir in juice, peel and egg until moistened. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
