  • slices bacon - 6 item
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • 13 oz - 2 lb
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • can red kidney beans, drained - 1 lb
  • cooked carrots - 2 c
  • diced onion - 1 c
  • crushed garlic clove - 1 item
  • ground beef
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 oz
  • cubed cooked potatoes - 2 c

How to make cowboy stew:

Cook bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel. Crumble and reserve. Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in bacon drippings until tender. Add ground beef; cook until well browned, breaking up with a fork as it cooks. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and chil
