Corn chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- chopped onion - 3 Tbsp
- slices bacon, chopped - 3 item
- cream-style corn - 2 c
- cut up potatoes
How to make corn chowder:
Cook bacon in saucepan until crisp. Remove from pan and save for later use. Lightly brown onion in bacon fat; add potatoes and water. Boil gently for 10 minutes. Add corn and cook 10 minutes longer. Stir in milk, salt and bacon. Heat just until hot. Makes 6 (1 cup) servings.Recipe categories: Corn, Soups & stews, Chowders.
