Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • cider vinegar - 1/4 c
  • salad oil - 1/4 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • mustard - 2 Tbsp
  • can tomato soup - 1 oz
  • wine vinegar - 3/4 c
  • salt and white pepper to taste - 1 item
  • carrots slim - 2 pkg
  • bell pepper, in rings - 1 item
  • sweet onion, in rings - 1 item

How to make copper pennies:

Scrape carrots; slice into thin rounds. Cook in a small amount of salted water until tender. Drain; cool and place in kettle. Add other ingredients; stir and heat through (do not boil). Pour over carrots; when cool, put in refrigerator to chill.
