Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1 item
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- marjoram - 1 item
- carrots, sliced - 5 item
- bay leaves - 3 item
- onions - 6 item
- canned tomatoes - 1 pt
- coot, skinned - 2 item
- Place all remaining ingredients in a large kettle and simmer in 1-quart of water
How to make coot stew:
Cut birds into serving size pieces or smaller. Place all remaining ingredients in a large kettle and simmer in 1-quart of water. Salt and pepper the meat, roll in flour and brown in margarine or butter in a skillet.
