  • carrots, sliced - 5 item
  • bay leaves - 3 item
  • onions - 6 item
  • canned tomatoes - 1 pt
  • coot, skinned - 2 item
  • Place all remaining ingredients in a large kettle and simmer in 1-quart of water

How to make coot stew:

Cut birds into serving size pieces or smaller. Place all remaining ingredients in a large kettle and simmer in 1-quart of water. Salt and pepper the meat, roll in flour and brown in margarine or butter in a skillet. Add these to the pot and simmer slowly, covered, for about 2 hours.*INXMUD HEN:
