  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • sour cream - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • cottage cheese - 1 c
  • cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
  • onions, chopped - 1/3 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 1 Tbsp
  • noodles - 8 oz

How to make company casserole:

Cook noodles in boiling water about 10 minutes. Drain and rinse. While noodles are cooking, in a large skillet, brown the ground beef, onions and green peppers. Stir in tomato sauce and salt. Remove from heat. In a separate bowl, combine cottage cheese, sour cream and cream cheese. In a 2-quart casserole, spread half the noodles, then cover with cheese mixture. Add balance of noodles, top with meat mixture. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Can be prepared ahead of time.
