Company casserole

Ingredients/Components

• pkg - 1 oz
• sour cream - 1 c
• butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
• chopped green pepper - 2 Tbsp
• cottage cheese - 2 c
• cans tomato sauce - 3 oz
• hamburger - 3 lb
• chopped scallions - 1/3 c

How to make company casserole:

Brown meat slightly. Stir in tomato sauce. Cook noodles and add butter to drained noodles. Mix together cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, green pepper and scallions. Butter a large casserole dish. Layer half noodles, layer of all cheese mixture, then rest of noodles. Top with meat layer, smoothing it over. Bake uncovered at 350° until bubbly and slightly brown on top for about an hour. Freezes well. Serves 8.
