Coffee cake

Ingredients/Components

• salt - 1/4 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• brown sugar - 2 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• buttermilk or sour milk - 1 c
• 1/2 sticks oleo - 1 item
• raisins or nuts optional - 1 item

How to make coffee cake:

Cut first 3 ingredients like pie meal. Take out 1 cup and reserve. Mix in other ingredients. Batter will be lumpy. Pour into 9 x 12-inch pan. Top with remaining 1 cup. Bake 25 minutes at 350°.

Note: To make sour milk, add 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar to sweet milk.
