Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- oil - 3/4 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
How to make coffee cake:
Beat first 6 ingredients in a large mixer bowl until light. Remove 3/4 cup for topping and add 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Mix well and set aside.Add baking soda, baking powder, egg and buttermilk to batter. Mix until smooth. Pour in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and sprinkle with topping. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
