- sugar
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, separated - 5 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening
- plain flour
- can coconut - 1 item
- coconut flavoring - 1 Tbsp
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat egg whites. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add egg yolks. Add flour and milk. Fold in coconut and flavoring. Fold in egg whites. Bake in tube pan for 1 hour and 35 minutes at 325°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
