Coconut pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- egg yolks, beaten - 4 item
- can coconut - 1 item
How to make coconut pie:
Mix milk, sugar and flour; cook until it begins to thicken. Let cool for a short time. Add egg yolks slowly. Add coconut. Cook until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla and margarine. Mix well. Pour in unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until crust is done. Add meringue and brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
