  • sugar - 1-1/2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • coconut - 1 c
  • butter, melted - 1/4 c
  • unbaked pie shell - 1 item
  • cornmeal - 1 Tbsp
  • scant cup cold water - 1 item

How to make coconut chess pie:

Beat eggs slightly; add remaining ingredients in order given, mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° and bake for 35 minutes.
