Cinnamon swirl salad
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1/4 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- boiling water - 3 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- applesauce - 2 c
- mayonnaise - 2 Tbsp
- red hot candies - 1/2 c
How to make cinnamon swirl salad:
Dissolve gelatin and red hots in boiling water. Stir in applesauce, lemon juice and salt. Chill until partially set. Fold in nuts. Turn mixture into a 9 x 9-inch square dish. Beat together cream cheese, milk and mayonnaise. Spoon on top of gelatin mixture and swirl through to give marble effect. Chill until thoroughly set.
