Cinnamon swirl bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- cold water - 2/3 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- ground cinnamon - 2 tsp
- Remove from heat
- hot roll mix - 16 oz
- yeast packet - 1 item
How to make cinnamon swirl bread:
Place cream cheese and water in small saucepan and cook on low heat until 115° to 120°, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in egg and vanilla. Stir together roll mix, yeast packet and 1/3 cup sugar. Add cream cheese mixture, mixing until dough pulls away from sides. On floured surface, knead dough 5 minutes or until smooth. Cover and let rest in warm place 30 minutes.On floured surface, roll dough into 15 x 7-inch rectangle. Brush with margarine and sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll from short end. Press ends together and seal. Fold ends under; place seam side down in greased 9 x 5-inch pan. Cover and let rise in warm place 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°. Bake 45 to 55 minutes. Cool completely. Drizzle with Vanilla Icing.Vanilla Icing:1 c. powdered sugar2 Tbsp. milk1/4 tsp. vanilla Stir until smooth and drizzle over Cinnamon Swirl Bread.
