Cinnamon nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
- molasses - 1 Tbsp
- raisins
- nuts, chopped
- flour all-purpose - 3 c
How to make cinnamon nut bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Place raisins in 1/2 cup boiling water. Cool and drain but reserve the water. Cream sugar, shortening and molasses. Sift dry ingredients. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture, alternating with reserved water and mixing well. Fold in nuts and raisins.
