  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • milk
  • powdered sugar
  • self-rising flour
  • medium eggs - 2 item
  • almond flavoring - 1 tsp
  • butter flavored Crisco - 3/4 c
  • chopped nuts pecans, walnuts, etc - 2/3 c

How to make cinnamon nut cake:

Glaze:1 1/4 c. powdered sugar3/4 c. milk1 tsp. almond flavoring2/3 c. chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, etc.) Mix all ingredients in one bowl. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 1/4-inch rectangle pan. Preheat oven to 350°. Mix eggs, Crisco and sugar together. Combine flour and milk to mixture. Add flavoring; beat on high for 5 minutes. Pour half of mixture in pan; sprinkle half cinnamon over mix. Rake over with a fork. Pour remaining mixture in. Sprinkle rest of cinnamon. Rake over with a fork and mix well. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until straw comes out dry. Cool. Place on a rectangular cake plate, right side up. Pour half of glaze mix over cake and sprinkle all the chopped nuts next, then pour remaining glaze over nuts. Let stand for 15 minutes, then serve.
