- eggs - 2 item
- boiling water - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- nuts - 2 c
- raisins - 1 c
- box spice cake mix - 1 item
- chopped fruit
- sherry or wine - 1/4 c
How to make christmas cake:
Mix spice cake mix, shortening and boiling water. Let stand for 30 minutes. Beat and add 2 eggs and sherry. Combine the chopped fruit, raisins and nuts. Stir into batter. Bake in greased and paper lined loaf or tube pan until done at 300°.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, English.
