Ingredients/Components

• eggs - 2 item
• boiling water - 1/2 c
• shortening - 1/2 c
• nuts - 2 c
• raisins - 1 c
• box spice cake mix - 1 item
• chopped fruit
• sherry or wine - 1/4 c

How to make christmas cake:

Mix spice cake mix, shortening and boiling water. Let stand for 30 minutes. Beat and add 2 eggs and sherry. Combine the chopped fruit, raisins and nuts. Stir into batter. Bake in greased and paper lined loaf or tube pan until done at 300°.
