Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/3 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- nuts - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Put cocoa and butter, shortening and water into a saucepan
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Sift flour, sugar and soda in a bowl. Put cocoa and butter, shortening and water into a saucepan. Heat and stir to mix. Continue to stir and bring to a full boil; boil for 1 minute. Mix with dry ingredients. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into 11 x 16 x 1-inch greased and floured jelly roll pan. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Pour icing over cake while still warm.Icing:1 stick oleo4 Tbsp. cocoa1/3 c. milk1 c. nuts1 tsp. vanilla1 box powdered sugar Melt oleo with cocoa and milk. Stir until smooth.
