Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- sticks butter or margarine - 2 item
- cold water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
- box sifted powdered sugar - 1 item
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
In a bowl, mix sugar, flour, soda and cinnamon. Then add 1/2 cup buttermilk and eggs. In a saucepan, bring to a boil 2 sticks butter or margarine, cold water and 4 tablespoons cocoa. Pour mixture in saucepan into mixture in bowl; mix well. Pour into greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.While cake is baking, in same saucepan, melt 1 stick butter or margarine, 6 tablespoons buttermilk and 4 tablespoons cocoa. Bring to a boil. Then add powdered sugar. Pour over cake while still hot.
