Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- box confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- stick butter or margarine - 1 item
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Icing:4 to 5 Tbsp. milk1 stick butter3 Tbsp. cocoa1 tsp. vanilla1 lb. box confectioners sugar Heat first four ingredients in a small saucepan. Then pour over flour and sugar, mix well, then add buttermilk and soda, then all eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Batter will be very liquid. Bake 20 minutes at 400° in 9 x 13-inch pan. While still hot, pour icing over cake. Heat butter, cocoa and milk until it boils.
