Chocolate sauce
Ingredients/Components
- confectioners sugar - 3 c
- can evaporated milk - 1 oz
- unsalted butter - 1/3 c
- unsweetened chocolate, finely chopped - 5 oz
- vanilla or favorite liqueur to taste - 1 tsp
How to make chocolate sauce:
Put chocolate and butter into a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat just until chocolate melts. Remove pan from heat and alternately stir in sugar and milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 to 8 minutes. Add vanilla or liqueur. Refrigerate, covered, up to 3 weeks.
