Ingredients/Components
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- oleo - 1 c
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- milk
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- Add eggs, one at a time
- oleo, at room temperature - 1/4 c
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Blend Crisco, oleo and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat one minute each time eggs are added. Add sifted ingredients alternately with milk; add vanilla and chopped pecans. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.Creamy Chocolate Glaze:2 1/4 c. powdered sugar3 Tbsp. cocoa1/4 c. oleo, at room temperature3 to 4 Tbsp. milk1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix and glaze cake.In memory of Gloria Benner.
