  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • oleo - 1 c
  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • milk
  • flour - 3 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • Add eggs, one at a time
  • oleo, at room temperature - 1/4 c

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Blend Crisco, oleo and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat one minute each time eggs are added. Add sifted ingredients alternately with milk; add vanilla and chopped pecans. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.Creamy Chocolate Glaze:2 1/4 c. powdered sugar3 Tbsp. cocoa1/4 c. oleo, at room temperature3 to 4 Tbsp. milk1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix and glaze cake.
