- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- milk
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- margarine, softened - 1 c
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream shortening and margarine, gradually adding sugar and beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa, mixing well. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in vanilla. Pour into a 10-inch tube pan.
