  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • sugar - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • cocoa - 1/2 c
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk or sour milk - 3/4 c
  • chopped nuts - 1 c

How to make chocolate drop cookies:

Cream mixture, except for nuts. Add the nuts. Add all ingredients. Chill 1 hour. Drop from spoon onto greased cookie sheet.
