Chocolate cream pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- flour - 1/3 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- cocoa
- margarine - 1/4 c
- Meringue:2 egg whites
How to make chocolate cream pie:
Meringue:2 egg whites5 Tbsp. sugar Put milk in pan and place over heat until it becomes warm. Mix flour, sugar and cocoa separately in bowl and add to milk. Beat egg yolks separately and then add to mixture in pot. Let mixture cook until it becomes thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla and margarine.In separate bowl, beat egg whites until they form a peak. Add 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 at a time. Beat well and add 2 more tablespoons sugar. Beat until peaks form.
Place pie mixture in a baked shell and place egg white mixture over the top to seal in pie mixture. Place in preheated 400° oven until meringue is light brown.
