Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
How to make chocolate cookie cake:
Frosting:1/2 c. margarine6 Tbsp. milk3 Tbsp. cocoa1 box powdered sugar1/2 c. chopped nuts1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. vanilla In saucepan, combine shortening, water, margarine and cocoa. Bring to a boil. Add sugar, salt and flour; set aside. In a bowl, beat eggs, buttermilk, soda and vanilla. Add to chocolate mixture. Mix well and pour into jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.Five minutes before cake is done, make frosting by bringing margarine, milk, cocoa and salt to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Spread on hot cake. This takes 25 minutes to make and frost cake.
